Connections are the backbone of Tradoflow
Without a connection to your exchange, automation is not possible. So let's create a connection.
- 1. Navigate to the connection page
Tradoflow requires an API Key and API Secret to connect to the exchange and to place orders on your behalf.
Generate the necessary API Key and Secret from your exchange account. You can find detailed instructions on generating API keys for supported exchanges in the Alpaca and Kraken Futures section.
Tradoflow will store your credentials in an encrypted format to ensure that they cannot be accessed by unauthorized parties. We take security very seriously.
- 2. Click the Create Connection-button
A form will appear for you to set up the connection details.
- Select the exchange
- Select the trading mode
- Enter the API Key generated in Step 1
- Enter the API Secret generated in Step 1
- Verify your entries and click the Save-button
- Deleting a connection
If you decide to delete a connection, you can do so by clicking the trash can-button.
Note that deleting a connection will also remove all associated strategies and signals.
